Join us for the first “U Pick” flowers at Fogwood Gardens! We are so excited for you to see the farm and learn about what we grow. Each participant will be able to walk through the gardens at sunset and pick flowers to create their own arrangement. After you have chosen your stems, you can use the yurt space to enjoy some refreshments and make a bouquet. I will be available to chat with you all about the flowers and demonstrate some bouquet building techniques.

How it works:

The gardens will be open from 6:00-8:00 to anyone who has purchased a $5 admission ticket prior to the event. Upon entering the farm, please walk up to the yurt so I can provide you with a bucket for harvesting, shears, and the menu of what flowers are available for picking that week. Each stem you pick will have a value, and some are more valuable than others. Certain varieties (ex. precious dahlias) will have restrictions on how many you can pick. If you would like, I will provide a formula for a balanced bouquet of foliage, fillers, and statement flowers. This will help to keep the overall costs down, and ensure you leave with something beautiful.

Once you have finished picking, you can take your bucket back up to the yurt and we will add up all your stems. You can pay with a credit card using our square, or with cash. After that, play with your flowers, chat with other pickers, and relax in the yurt!

** The island can be buggy in the summer, especially at sunset. Please wear long pants and bug spray to help keep yourself comfortable. It’s the price we pay for living in paradise.
