February Blooming Book Workshop // Yurt Space

from $75.00

The blooming book concept is something I have fallen deeply for. I have yet to find a more perfect pairing than an old book and dried flowers. The process of creating these is meditative and relatively simple. A perfect candidate for a unique dried flower workshop!

When: Sunday, February 15 from 2:00-4:00

Where: 725 Old Stage Road Arrowsic, ME

We will be taking antique books and folding the pages in using paperclips to create tight pockets for fifty flower stems to slide into. Each participant will receive a flower pack with 50 dried flower stems grown at Fogwood. I have chosen flowers that work well with this concept, and I will have some extra offerings for you as well. You can either build the book standing up or laying flat with the pages open. Every creation will be uniquely yours.

Your dried flower books will be best displayed in indirect light and low humidity.

If you have your own book that you would like to use, don’t forget to select that option! Otherwise, I will provide them. I recommend a standard book size (7-9”). A book hand sized or smaller will be too small for the amount of stems I am providing, but you could always decorate two small books of your own as well.

The last two photos feature the flower packs I have put together for this workshop. If you are someone who really does not like color, we can adjust your pack at the workshop!
