Every one of those flower boxes is full of single use plastic packaging, and requires refrigeration during the entire process of transportation. Globally, imported flowers produce over 100,000 tons of plastic waste every year. Additionally, these flowers are always coated heavily in pesticides and preservatives so they look their best when you put them on your table. The flower industry has almost no regulations on what can and cannot be used. A lot of the pesticides used on these flowers are not even a permitted practice in the United States. You can only imagine the effects that the application of these pesticides has on the workers who are using them. Now that I have painted that absolutely dreadful picture for you, I can bridge into something much happier.

Every year I kick myself for missing the opportunity to offer flower preorders, and then Valentines Day comes, and I am ready to sling our beautiful, well loved blooms, and people have already made arrangements or purchased other gifts.

Back when flowers were used to send secret messages, tulips translated to “young love,” or “a blooming romance.” They are all about new beginnings. The best part about them is that you get to watch them open from a tight bud all the way to a sprawling, silky bloom. Tulips have a special place in a lot of people’s hearts, especially in the middle of winter.
We have a lot of flowers to offer, and we want to make sure they all find homes. For your convenience, we are offering 3 different pickup locations and a few different preorder options.
