As humans, we are cyclic beings. And as women, we have the advantage of our cycle being overt, producing outer expressions (blood, cervical fluid, mood and energy fluctuations, etc.) that reflect inner changes throughout the month. It’s happening whether we pay attention or not—just like our breath.

Making this cycle conscious becomes a grounding force and a navigational tool for our lives.

Your Body Is Always Guiding You

Much of the information in the mainstream about women’s cycles focuses on diagnosing imbalances, managing symptoms, and suppressing experiences that are very natural reactions to our modern lifestyles. The narrative often frames the female body as wrong, broken and difficult to control.

The human body does not make mistakes. It always aims to get your attention and bring you deeper into your truth.

And as a woman, your menstrual cycle holds the keys to physical health, spiritual connection and creative expression.

What do I know after 10 years of Conscious Cycling?

  • My body is a compass, not a curse.

  • Forcing and pushing against the body eventually results in dis-ease.

  • Honoring menstruation with rest and space can lead to incredible insight.

  • Connection to the earth and other women are vital to my health.

  • Blood is beautiful. And it’s the source of my creativity, clarity and power.

  • I can trust the unknown. I can trust change.

Over the course of five weeks together, we’ll explore:

  • The phases of the menstrual cycle and opportunities of each phase

  • Practices to help you connect more deeply to your body and womb

  • How to apply the pillars of cycle wisdom to your everyday lives

  • Rituals for reconnecting your body with the earth-body

  • Artistic and creative play for feeling and expressing the feminine: dance, music, drawing, etc!

  • The power of sisterhood: being witnessed and sharing with other women in a loving space

Week 1: Circle Setting, Cultural Context for women at this time in history

Weeks 2-3: Autumn/ Winter = Luteal/Menstruation

Weeks 4-5: Spring/Summer = Follicular/Ovulation

*You do not have to be actively bleeding to take this course. Wherever you are in your journey with your female cycle, you are welcome to come explore with us.

It is possible to go from feeling burdened by your biology to feeling that life as a woman is downright magical!

What the Conscious Cycling Series is:

  • A small, in-person weekly gathering for women curious and committed to connecting deeply with themselves and each other

  • A multi-dimensional, experiential learning opportunity that uses the creative arts and the intellect to integrate the cycle teachings

  • A reframe of symptom → solution thinking

What it is not:

  • A clinical perspective

  • A place to analyze, diagnose or treat—though gathering with women does have health benefits!

  • A deep technical look into anatomy or specific teachings on tracking for fertility. We will cover tracking/tuning in to what the whole cycle can teach us.

About the Space:

It’s only fitting that we host this series in our very own womb: The Fogwood Gardens Yurt in Arrowsic, ME.

I hope you will join us in the circle to remember our magic, reconnect with our power, and reclaim our place as the stewards of this cycle wisdom—for human health and planetary health!
